You have another possibility here. If you are counting cards and know that there are a lot of tens left, you could take the insurance. If you are unsure, always say NO.

But after you have bet 160, 320, and 640 and lost, it will be over if the top bet at the casino is $1000.
The example above is very extreme, but you will probably understand what I mean. DON’T use this method. The method you should use is the one where you bet high when you are winning and less when you are losing. That’s easy to say but hard to do.

There is a saying ‘Play with our money’ or ‘Play with the casinos money’. It means when you have been winning some money you play with their money, and eventually play more risky. This is wrong. When you have won money it’s your money. You are always playing with your money. The only time you can say that you are playing with their money is when you have a bonus from the casino.
